We believe systems change begins by cultivating trust.The change we want to see reflected in our schools is inextricably linked to the relationships we have to our communities, with our colleagues, and the relationship we have with ourselves.

Equity Institute facilitates learning experiences to explore and develop an understanding of the meaning of equity and anti-racism and how it supports the academic and social development of all learners.

Our training sessions are containers for self-reflection and the interpersonal exchange necessary to build bridges towards systems change. Each session is designed to move participants through foundational knowledge focused on equity and antiracist practices, and resources educators with strategies to design change.

Our Services

  • Learning Labs

    Learning experiences to explore and develop an understanding of equity in education and culturally responsive teaching and how it supports the academic and social development of all learners. This workshop is ideal for beginning to understand basic terms and developing a common language.

  • Design Team

    A 4- or 9-month team-based learning experience where participants explore emergent-centered approaches to being in relationship with self and others. During monthly meetings, teams engage in collaborative, creative practices that work towards sustainable, community-led and -controlled outcomes.

  • Antiracism Labs

    Two-part webinar series that presents thoughts, ideas, and practical approaches for promoting antiracism. The first session discusses how organizations can transform existing systems and the second session focuses on how individuals can engage in antiracist practices.
