February Meetup

In the spirit of Black History Month, we invite you to practice love and show up for an evening of deep community and potent storytelling. This month, we gather under the theme: Show Up, Practice Love: How We Teach, Lead, and Change Together.

We believe the way we are together in this room is the way we create the future world—a true reflection of the fractal nature of change. We invite educators, teacher assistants, community leaders, and all our kin to break bread, build ideas, and be present for the stories of those actively co-creating a more just world.

Now, when so many are targeted and rights are challenged, our commitment to interdependence is vital. We come together to move in solidarity, centering humanity, justice, peace, and especially, the unwavering work of cultivating safe and equitable educational spaces for all students.

Join us for an evening of collective purpose, intentional connection, and a chance to hear from our speakers:

  • Phoenyx Williams, Teacher Assistant, Sergeant Center, and EPP Participant

  • DaQuan Brown, Urban Education Policy Student at Brown University, Program Associate at Equity Institute

  • Christine Alves, President of Rhode Island School of Progressive Education
